A Full Plan Application is suitable for both domestic and commercial projects and includes plans, specifications, and structural calculations where necessary. The details are reviewed to ensure compliance with regulations, and if found to be satisfactory, the application will be approved. If not, a letter will be sent within 10-15 days after receipt of the application outlining any necessary amendments or additional information required for approval. If no response is received or the revisions are not satisfactory, the application may be rejected.
Building Notice application must be submitted at least 48 hours before work begins. The notice will be reviewed and, if found to be satisfactory, a letter acknowledging the application will be sent. Building Notice applications cannot be accepted for work on extensions over public sewers, as plans are required from Southern Water, the owners of the sewers. In this case, a Full Plan application will be necessary.
